Leonard HVAC grew one honest service call at a time in communities like Jamaica Plain. Our crews carry manufacturer certifications across the major residential and commercial equipment lines.
We're not the biggest name in Jamaica Plain — we're the company that tells you what actually needs fixing instead of what pads the ticket. We carry the credentials Jamaica Plain inspectors and property managers expect to see, and we keep that documentation available on request for every job, routine or emergency.
Being local matters more than most companies let on. That local knowledge shapes the maintenance schedules we recommend — it's the difference between a tech who's guessing and a tech who's seen your exact situation a hundred times before.
Trust in this industry gets eroded fast, and it takes real consistency to earn it back. That's the gap we built Leonard HVAC to close. We'd rather lose a job to a lower bid than win one by cutting corners on the diagnosis, because a customer who trusts us once tends to call us again — and Jamaica Plain is a small enough community that reputation travels fast.
When you call +1-866-805-8548, you're talking to someone who understands the local permitting process, the common equipment brands installed in Jamaica Plain homes, and realistic scheduling given local demand. It also means faster escalation when something's urgent — a local dispatcher can reroute the nearest truck in minutes, not hours.
Every service below is backed by the same licensing, warranty, and upfront pricing you get on any job we run.
A dead system in the middle of a heat wave or a cold snap isn't just inconvenient — it can be a real safety issue for kids, pets, and older residents. Our Jamaica Plain dispatch team prioritizes no-heat and no-cooling calls so a technician is diagnosing your system as fast as physically possible.
Once a technician is on-site, the goal is always a same-visit repair — most emergency calls in Jamaica Plain get resolved in a single trip, not a multi-day back-and-forth.
Not every repair call ends in a repair — sometimes the honest recommendation is a properly sized replacement. We walk Jamaica Plain homeowners through efficiency ratings and how they translate into real monthly savings before a single piece of equipment gets ordered.
We protect floors and entryways during the install and haul away the old equipment so you're not left dealing with disposal.
A retail floor, a restaurant kitchen, or an office suite can't run without stable climate control. Our commercial division services rooftop units and package systems across Jamaica Plain, with after-hours work to avoid disrupting business.
Our commercial techs are trained to work around your customers and staff, scheduling noisy or disruptive work outside peak hours whenever possible.
Preventive maintenance is the cheapest repair you'll ever pay for, because it's the one that prevents the bigger bill. Beyond standard tune-ups, we also handle humidifier, dehumidifier, and air purifier installation for Jamaica Plain households that want more than just temperature control.
Maintenance plan members in Jamaica Plain get scheduling reminders automatically, so tune-ups don't fall through the cracks during a busy season.
We'd rather set clear expectations upfront than make vague promises we can't back up.
Details vary by job type and are always shared upfront, never buried in fine print.
We quote a flat rate before work begins and that number doesn't change once you approve it.
If anything feels off after we leave, one call gets a tech back to your Jamaica Plain address.
Most breakdowns don't happen without warning — they announce themselves for weeks before the system actually quits.
Ignoring new noises is one of the fastest ways to turn a small repair into a major one.
Weak airflow from the vents often traces back to a clogged filter, a failing blower motor, or leaking ductwork.
Gradual efficiency loss is easy to miss month to month, but it adds up fast over a season.
A system that won't hold a steady cycle is often fighting a sizing issue, a thermostat problem, or a refrigerant imbalance.
Chemical odors may signal a refrigerant leak, which requires a licensed technician to handle safely.
We'll always tell you honestly when a repair is the better call versus when it isn't.
You'll know the cost before a wrench touches your system.
Dispatchers give you a realistic arrival window instead of a vague "sometime today".
If something isn't right after we leave, we come back and make it right.
Every technician carries current state licensing and manufacturer training.
Photos and plain-language notes accompany every diagnostic.
We'll walk you through what's actually available before you decide.
We don't write these — our customers do.
"I called three other companies first and this was the only one that actually picked up. No pressure to buy a whole new system when a repair was all we needed."
"Signed up for the annual plan after our first repair and it's paid for itself already. You can tell these guys actually know what they're doing."
"They handled the whole install in a single day, exactly like they said they would. Would recommend to anyone in Jamaica Plain needing a real replacement, not a patch job."
"Commercial dispatch was quick and the tech understood our system without needing to be walked through it. Now our go-to for every property in the portfolio."
"I appreciated that they didn't try to sell me a bigger unit than I needed. Installation crew was in and out in a day and left the space cleaner than they found it."
"Diagnosed a failed capacitor and had it swapped within the hour. This is the company I'm saving in my phone now."
Understanding what typically fails helps homeowners know what to watch for and when a repair call is worth making before things get worse.
Homeowners who schedule a tune-up ahead of each season tend to call us far less often for emergency repairs. Before the heaviest cooling months hit, it's worth having the refrigerant charge checked, the condenser coils cleaned, and the filter replaced — all of which directly affect how hard the compressor has to work.
Setting a programmable or smart thermostat to a consistent schedule reduces the number of times the system has to work hard to catch up to a big temperature swing. None of this replaces a professional tune-up, but it does reduce the wear that leads to premature breakdowns between visits.
Our technicians train across the major residential and commercial equipment lines, so you're not limited to a single brand's service network. If your system was installed by a different company entirely, that's not a problem — we service equipment regardless of who originally put it in, and we'll pull the model and serial information to confirm parts compatibility before any repair begins.
We don't outsource dispatch to a call center that's never met our technicians.
